Over the past nine years, Stijn was instrumental in building Xebia’s Data & AI practice. Starting from a small team at GoDataDriven, he led the transition to Xebia Data as Managing Director, growing the team to over 100 Data & AI experts. This team successfully implemented data and AI initiatives for leading companies like ING, Heineken, Albert Heijn, ASML, and Vattenfall.
We know that hands-on experience combined with a roll-up-your-sleeves mentality makes all the difference in bringing our customers’ data & AI initiatives to life. Stijn not only has a unique track record of working with large teams and complex data projects, he also has a deep technical expertise and knows how to successfully build with data & AI.
Stijn has been developing AI models since before you could get them from vendors like OpenAI or Google, back when you still had to build everything from scratch. Prior to Xebia, he worked at Distimo and later at AppAnnie/Data.ai, where he created the first machine learning models that reliably predicted key metrics in the mobile app space. These models were key to success.
There are a few people in your career with whom you’d work again in a heartbeat. After Gert Jan and Vincent worked together with Stijn for several years at Distimo, he was at the very top of that list. So, we couldn’t be happier to be working together again, building and shaping the future of Mozaik.
